OIC 2018 Amelia Island
Working together since 2011, we put our heads together with the Options Industry Conference to announce the location of its 2018 meeting and tempt attendees with the mix of adventure, networking, relaxation and education that OIC brings to its annual meeting of the minds.
The Island Is Calling
We started with the mood board, envisioning how we could truly capture everything that the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Florida has to offer. With white sand beaches, pristine vistas and abundant wildlife, Amelia Island holds a lot in store—and we wanted to give a glimpse at what attendees could expect.
Inspired by the island’s marshlands and white sand beaches, we went with a color palette that reflects the relaxing landscape surrounding the vista. Cool greens and blues accented with calming cream and pink have a sunset effect, while the wistful hand-drawn typography and beach-inspired embellishments give this concept a personal touch.

As the most dynamic element we create for the conference, the OIC 2018 promotional video needed to feel like an escape to paradise, a journey into what lies ahead for conference attendees.
Images of scenic Amelia Island are interspersed with visuals of day to day island activities in the storyboard we constructed. We focused on immersing viewers in the culture—tranquil mornings on the beach, an afternoon poolside, putting on the green and a night on the town are all just part of the island way of life.
In the final video, all of these elements and visuals come together with a vintage grain filter and interspersed bursts of sunlight. Shots of the beach, marshlands and resort location beautifully speak for themselves, while our additional copy helps reel in viewers and guide them through the adventure awaiting them.
The First Steps to Paradise
The website pulls together the look and feel of our concept with all the necessary details about the conference itself. Visitors can easily find their way to information on registration, events, sponsors and more with a clean and simple layout consistent with all other OIC 2018 promotional materials.
With the conference agenda conveniently sized to fit on a lanyard, OIC attendees need never fear of running out of activities and events. This guide will follow guests along their tropical journey and inspire them to keep exploring everything OIC has to offer.
