but that wasn’t evident in the brand’s identity. Porter Pipe has spent more than 40 years redefining what it means to be a wholesale distributor of plumbing, mechanical contracting and manufacturing products, with a commitment to high-quality materials and even higher quality relationships with their customers. When it came time to expand into new markets and boost business, we helped Porter Pipe with an updated identity and became their ongoing marketing partner to wow customers new and old.

As a well-established business, Porter Pipe’s identity change needed to be a true evolution rather than a total overhaul. One of the qualities that makes Porter Pipe unique is the cutting-edge solutions they offer to common industry issues like logistics and delivery, material handling and packaging. For the new look and feel to be a success, we wanted it to express the expertise and modern innovation the company has worked so hard to achieve.
We began by breaking down the essential parts of Porter Pipe’s old logo—the letter P inside of a circle—and used those two shapes as our only parameters, letting our creativity run wild with hand-rendered variations of the essential components.
We arrived at a natural evolution of their identity, with an established feel, a modern typeface and a subtle reference to piping.
Their new tagline, “Partnership with Purpose”, strikes an aspirational tone and lets customers know Porter Pipe is a supplier that goes further to improve their business.
The finalized messaging and visual identity gave us the tools to create targeted marketing to grow Porter Pipe’s business. The centerpiece of this effort is a values folder, a sales package with infographic call-outs and photo-heavy sell sheets that lay out the benefits of having Porter Pipe as a partner.
In revamping Porter Pipe’s website, we brought together the visuals and messaging of their new identity with well-organized product and service categories and easily accessible resources. We contribute regular additions to the site to keep their content marketing strategy at the top of its game.
A distributor that goes above and beyond for service isn’t complete without a branded mobile app that tracks deliveries and product fulfillment.
