Pacific Plug & Liner – CAST 2025
I Want My PP&L TV
CAST 2025 was all about channeling the bold, electric energy of MTV’s 1980s heyday—and PP&L TV was our retro-fueled guide. To bring the theme to life, we developed two distinct stylescapes, each with its own unique look, feel and visual language. From a microsite to event signage, we explored how every piece of collateral would bring this vintage-inspired vision to life.

Concept 1
Inspired by the golden era of music television and the iconic TV Guide logo, this concept brought the energy to epically showcase the stars of Perennial Hits TV. Loud, edgy and totally tubular, the use of the iconic checkerboard pattern, bold color blocking and chunky patterns of the 1980s represented the radical dissonance—and the MTV hits—of the era.

This 80s vaporwave inspired concept featured vibrant, in-your-face color paired with gradients and nods to Miami Vice and Memphis Design styles. Sharp edges, neon colors and the combination of geometric and organic shapes merged to create interesting textures and backgrounds. The Chosen Channel
Once the ’80s vaporwave aesthetic made the final cut, we tuned in and turned up the volume—rolling out a landing page, event invite and email campaign. This creative direction became the broadcast standard, shaping every piece of event collateral that followed.

The Merch Table: Band Shirts & Beyond
The next client ask was a blast: Design custom band logos for each variety (with appropriately band-inspired names), drawing on iconic band imagery for a truly unique look. Each logo got its moment in the spotlight, arranged like a festival lineup.
Along with the tees, we also created two additional shirts and a hat—making sure there was something for every fan to rock.

To round out the CAST collateral, we designed a guidebook that outlined everything PP&L had to offer. Inspired by everyone’s favorite TV channel of the ’80s, we modeled the guidebook after the iconic TV Guide. After all, while this was an event, we couldn’t forget the television roots of MTV.
