With the identity evolution of Anchor Advisors, we refocused the brand’s strategy to project a contemporary image that was more in sync with where and how the company continues to grow—then extended that image to its new sister company, EnMast.

Anchor Advisors helps business leaders stop drifting with the tide and get back on course. A passionate team of small business and non-profit advisors, they have a wealth of business expertise, devoted clients and a great track record—they just needed their brand to match that string of accomplishments.

With inspiration in tow from an in-depth brand discovery session, we got to work developing a strong brand strategy to communicate how Anchor helps business owners find a path to growth and reclaim their passion for their business. With the strong innate imagery the name Anchor Advisors evokes, we knew exactly which direction to take the new identity.
Each rooted in a nautical bent, we gave the Anchor Advisors crew a wide variety of logo expressions to choose from, from classic to trendy and from playful to serious. The chosen mark was a modern interpretation of the classic ship wheel, which is used to steer onto the correct course.
The detail in the ship’s wheel also creates an “A” letterform, subtly introducing the Anchor name into the logo.
A palette of fresh lime green, crisp white and stark black, combined with sleek san serif fonts, ground the brand in modern professionalism on letterhead and business cards. To really drive home the rebrand, we topped off the new look with a tagline that speaks to Anchor Advisor’s mission: empowering businesses to “Own Your Course.”
Then, with our work still hot off the press, Anchor Advisors realized there was a unique supportive void specifically in the small business community. As a group of passionate advisors, they knew it was time to take action with a membership-based platform to share the resources they provide. Knowing the idea was to create an affordable and accessible space for micro-businesses, we pitched the name “EnMast,” a play on “en mass,” to signify that small business communities are stronger when they band together. With that, their latest venture was born.
As the creative support behind this new brand, we knew it was important for EnMast to have its own identity while maintaining a recognizable connection to its parent company.
The EnMast logo uses the same nautical theme and contemporary look as Anchor Advisors, but with new teal, blood orange, and dark grey colors and a design that represents the guiding force of the EnMast community. The tagline, “Business Owners Belong,” emphasizes that with EnMast, business owners no longer have to face challenges alone.
Rolled out into business cards, a website and informative marketing collateral, the EnMast brand is a perfect complement to Anchor Advisors in both appearance and strategy.
