As you might know, the team at BatesMeron will soon have a new spot to hang our hats (and helmets). The countdown to our big office move is growing smaller and these last few weeks have ensured that all of our spare moments are filled with daydreams of what life might be like on the third floor.
Although most of our moving to-dos have been taken care of, I couldn’t help but put together my own list of items I feel are needed to make the transition even better. My wish list of new office necessities includes: a sweet little book nook for perusing magazines, comic books, swatches and all other hands-on inspirations; anything from SkyMall magazine; as many plants as possible; a portable fog machine that I may set off upon entering and exiting all meetings; and 60s-era beaded curtains to perfectly frame up our rad skyline view.
I realize this a very tall (and oddly specific) order to fill, but I am not the only BMSDer with big dreams. After a quick poll around the office, it was revealed that my coworkers have their own wonderful—and wonderfully quirky—ideas for our new space.
While some of these will inevitably be filed under “never gonna happen” (e.g., my fog machine), others, I’m delighted to report can already be checked off our list. Ch-ch-check it out!
