because this year’s Options Industry Conference was all about Miami Beach. Hosted at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel, it was sure to be a hit for attendees looking for a luxurious escape after hours of seminars and keynote presentations each day. The goal of our involvement was to pump up the excitement for the upcoming meeting by touting the glamorous venue, high-energy atmosphere, rich culture and modern-day cool Miami Beach has on tap.

To emphasize Miami Beach’s vintage-chic vibe, our theme mood board leveraged illustrated beach images to create the feeling of a retro postcard. Vibrant colors true to Miami, energetic typography and nautical accents also build anticipation for the event in style. Working together, each element of our mood board depicts Miami Beach as a lively destination to escape the everyday.
From our mood board, we moved into the promotional video for announcing this year’s meeting location to attendees. The video opens and closes with vintage postcard-esque illustrations from our theme concept, while a hip-shaking rhythm plays in the background over footage of Miami Beach nightlife, fine dining, architecture, activities and more.
The result is a mix of refreshing and energizing imagery, representing an iconic cool and eclectic heat that together say, “Welcome to Miami Beach.”

The splash page came next. Home to our promotional video, speaker and scheduling information, registration for activities and crucial event details, the page worked as an extension of the event itself and therefore had to be as captivating as the rest of our deliverables. Bright, tropical colors, huge call outs and ease of navigation ensured the end result was as beautiful as it was resourceful.
With the splash page complete, our next job was to get attendees excited and interacting with the page through a variety of pre-event marketing collateral. Print ads and digital banner ads were created to attract attendees from strategically picked publications and sites, while postcards delivered the old-fashioned way drove home our laid-back, vintage travel theme.
The culmination of our efforts was at the conference itself, where our theme came to life in event signage and collateral for attendees to keep on hand.

At the conference, wayfinding signage and directories designed by yours truly guided attendees throughout the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, while handy pocket guides kept key event information easily accessible. Whether they were attending an educational seminar or out sailing the Atlantic, the pocket guide, combined with the rest of our designs, kept the spirit of Miami Beach and the momentum of the meeting going.
