Options Industry Conference – Amelia Island
The first steps to paradise lead straight to Amelia Island.
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Florida holds a lot in store, with white sand beaches, pristine vistas and abundant wildlife. The OIC couldn’t have picked a more heavenly location for their annual meeting, and it was on BatesMeron to bring the beauty of the island to life through engaging conference materials.

We started with the mood board, envisioning how we could truly capture everything that the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort in Florida has to offer and give a glimpse at what attendees could expect to enjoy. Inspired by the island’s marshlands and white sand beaches, we went with a color palette that reflects the relaxing landscape surrounding the vista.
Cool greens and blues accented with calming cream and pink have a sunset effect, while the wistful hand-drawn typography and beach-inspired embellishments give this concept a personal touch.
The promotional video, meant to build anticipation for attendees prior to the show, came next. As the most dynamic element we created for the conference, the promotional video needed to feel like an escape to paradise, a journey into what lies ahead for conference attendees.
Images of scenic Amelia Island were interspersed with visuals of day-to-day island activities in the storyboard we constructed. In the final video, all of the visuals came together with a vintage grain filter and interspersed bursts of sunlight. Shots of the beach, marshlands and resort location beautifully spoke for themselves, while our additional copy helped reel in viewers and guide them through the adventure that awaited them.

We focused on immersing viewers in the culture—tranquil mornings on the beach, an afternoon poolside, putting on the green and a night on the town are all just part of the island way of life.
The website pulled together the look and feel of our concept with all the necessary details about the conference itself. Visitors could easily find their way to information on registration, events, sponsors and more with a clean and simple layout consistent with all other OIC promotional materials.
Our efforts all came together at the conference itself. Attendees were each given a handy and portable conference agenda to keep all event information within reach. With the conference agenda conveniently sized to fit on a lanyard, OIC attendees never feared of running out of activities and educational events. This guide followed guests along their tropical journey and inspired them to keep exploring everything OIC—and Amelia Island—had to offer.
When the sun set on this year’s Options Industry Conference, even we were left dreaming of the attendees’ leisurely escape to Amelia Island.

“By highlighting both our expertise and our personality, BatesMeron created a campaign that opened the doors to clients new and old—we even had previous clients reach out to tell us it reminded them of just how much they’ve enjoyed working with us. The reinforcement across digital and print was seamless, helping us gain even more recognition.”
