Deeply rooted in American (and Chicago) history, clothier Hart Schaffner Marx is famed for its dedication to detail, fit and structure through more than 100 years of menswear manufacturing.

Inspired by their attention to detail, BatesMeron carefully guided all aspects of the creative process, from coordinating a photo shoot to developing nationwide campaigns.

We started by scouting locations in New York City, and we found one that perfectly embodied the elegant masculinity of the brand. Additionally, we handled all model casting, organizing, creative direction, art direction and production. The shoot resulted in bold, stunning imagery, which we used throughout signage, campaigns, advertisements and direct mail for more than 300 Dillard’s department stores to showcase a variety of HSM collections.

Always influenced by the history and iconic cool of the Hart Schaffner Marx brand, the BatesMeron team was proud to produce pieces that were “well-tailored” for the classically modern company.
