We Have Liftoff
Our first challenge was to weave this new program into our existing family of K12 brands—with a special focus on RedThread, K12 Coalition’s literacy program. We needed to illustrate a clear connection to the brand family while also building LIFT a unique identity. Inspired by the concept of “lifting off,” we began brainstorming the possibilities—from patterns to graphic treatments to characters.

Logo Exploration
Armed with inspiration, we began experimenting with a range of logo options. We pulled threads from our RedThread branding work, breathing new life into a few “saved for later” concepts and evolving them into vibrant new marks, hand-drawn fonts and expressive design elements.

A Guide for Takeoff
With the logo locked in, we turned our attention to building out the brand’s visual language. We designed a detailed style guide—complete with typography, color palettes, photography treatments and illustrative assets—giving the K12 Coalition team everything they need to apply the LIFT brand seamlessly across every touchpoint.

Once the style guide was finalized, we shifted from strategy to execution—designing a suite of teacher templates and developing illustrative graphics to enhance and enliven the LIFT curriculum.
